Fun Games For The Family

Not sure what to do on a Friday night with your spouse and kids? Even though the recession seems to have ended, and for good reason, most people are smooth leery of going out and spending money. You want to make sure you spend your money wisely. However, since you are not going out as much with your family you may be having wretchedness figuring out what to do at home. Or maybe you just want a family night with them, but are having a hard time on what game to choose from. Luckily here is a list of different games you and your family (or maybe even friends) can play with, for little to no expense.

Timeless Classics

Monopoly- One of the all-time classic board games and one of the most recognizable. A game of beating out the other players by driving them to bankruptcy. You can really gain into this game if you land on an opponents space or get sent to jail for the thousandth time. With countless different versions of it (Simpsons, Nintendo Characters, Pokemon, Star Wars, etc.) you have a variety of ones to choose from. Keep in mind that this game can take a very long time so expect to play through most of the night or finish playing the following day. If you have little ones I would not really recommend it unless you do not mind watching your kids play with the little character pieces instead of playing the dependable game.

Life- This is personally one of my favorite board games. You spin the dial in the middle and you get to choose if you want to go to college or choose a career. From there you procure married, buy a house, and can even have kids depending if you land on the spaces for them. Also you can have a mid-life crisis and start your career from scratch which can either make you or break you depending how you are doing on the game. As with most games whoever earns the most money at the end wins the game. It’s fun, easy, and pretty swiftly to play so you can play multiple rounds if you wanted to.

Trouble- A lickety-split easy game to play with your kids (especially little ones) you can knock off your opponents and send them back to start by landing on the same space as them. Plus the dice is in this little “bubble” (which pops) that adds a fun little charm to the game. Just be prepared to get broken-down to your puny ones hitting that “bubble” over and over again.
